Default Robert Shea - Foxley BC

It is with great sympathy that we announce the death of our two times President, Club Champion and GBA Fours winning skip Robert Shea (bushytail).

Robert has been a stalwart of Foxley for over twenty years, winning almost every honour within the club while representing the club externally with aplomb. A former GBA County player, Robert has been an absolute credit to Foxley.

A true bushytail in every sense of the word, Robert was key to the club's recent success and to instilling Foxley values in newer members.

The club wishes Robert's wife Liz and his two sons Andrew and Robbie the very best in this trying time.

    C'mon the Foxley

I heard last night when i came off the green, & it left me totally gutted.
An absolute gentleman, always a kind word & took time to stop & chat no matter where you met him.
A cracking big bowler, club, county & also guiding his team to Northfield. Pleasure to have played in same county team as him, but more importantly he was my friend.
Deepest sympathies to Liz, Andrew & Robbie.

Sleep tight bigman, we'll miss you.

    Thomas.

Would like to convey our heartfelt condolences to all the Shea family & Foxley B.C. on this sad occasion from everyone at Mount Vernon B.C.
A fitting tribute of a minute's silence was impeccably observed by directors & players prior to yesterday's AHT game between Glasgow & Lanarkshire South. A true mark of respect for a gentleman who earned many accolades both on & off the green.
