    Dear all,

Thank you for allowing me to join the forum. I'm hoping for some expert advice.

I've acquired a set of lovely TR woods.

Pictures attached. Mainly in good order but some of the lacquer/polish has worn away. What is the best course of action to restore?

    Many thanks

    Kindest wishes

    John

    Hi John,

Many thanks for reply. I've had a good look at them.IMG_0884.jpg

    They have written on them:

    Taylor Rolf Co Ltd
    Penhurst
    Bias 5
    Crescent Grip "Kings".
    1959

Any info you can give greatly appreciated.

    Kindest wishes

    John

Nice vintage set, are you intending to bowl with them? If you are you will need to get them tested if the stamp is out of date. If you send them to Pershore Bowls; https://www.pershorebc.co.uk they will test and stamp them and also restore the finish for you.

Could be pretty expensive for what is an average set,is there any engraving? Cost could be 100 ? Is it worth it maybe ?
