and i stand by that as the situation was entirely diferent to any laws.If you decide to ignore law 39.1 and allow team to play a player short ,they get no extra bowls ,which as isaid is nonsense, why is it that clubs keep deciding to ignore the laws because it does not suit them,if you aredue to play a club triples comp and you cannot even get 3players there you should forfeit the game end of story,,And a certain top umpire agreed with me.”my thoughts exactly” i would not play either

    Guess what.
Yesterday morning there were five league games in the book each one Triples.
Three out of the ten teams turned up short, one with only one player and two with two players.
Members are getting well and truly p***** off.

I did play in one game when the team short had an extra bowl. We lost and all thought it was easier to have 3 bowls than 2? We felt as if we had been mugged to be honest, only happen the once however. My feeling is, if a team turns up one short, and cannot get a replacement within a reasonable time they should forfeit the game.

Asolate. That really is bad, i'd be pi--sed off too.

Yesterday morning the same thing happened again. Players were an ex County President and an Atherley lead. We lost 10 14 but as this was the second time they had played short they lost 33% of their score leaving us with a 10 9.33 win and the two league points.

Will see how many turn up tonight.
