    Hello
I have just finished a beginners coaching course and bought a set of bowls. I have read that some indoor bowls centres do not like you to use Grippo or similar products due to staining the rink. Is this correct??

Hi if applied properly and buffed with a soft cloth ,grippo or crackajack do no harm at all, indoor rinks deposit a layer of dust to bowls, polish removes it and gives you a decent surface to hold.a polishing sleeve is a good way to polish the bowls too.The problem with polish occurs when players apply it and to not rub it in.I prefer crackajack.and have used it extensively for over 20 years
